Scottish life stories of an autistic man

A Cafe in Partick

I get more pleasure from small moments interacting with service staff in cafes when I am on my own than the big social events. I mask well and service staff appreciate this.  Everything works according to the social etiquette script. The unfamiliarity in a way is a shield for me. People are reserved because they don’t know me. But really I am always reserved by character. Another point is nobody knows I am autistic so I am treated the same as everyone else. Further appreciation can be bought with a tip. I like eating on my own in Cafes.
